Mark is the former Chief Technology Officer of St. Jude Medical, Inc. (NYSE: STJ), and the most prolific inventor of electrical medical devices in the world with more than 260 U.S. Patents. Every Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator sold has at least one patent attributed to Dr. Kroll. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for the Cardiac Rhythm Management division of St. Jude Medical Inc. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of the Tachycardia Business division and in various senior executive roles within St. Jude from 1995 through his retirement in 2005. Previously, he served as Vice President of Research for the Angemed division of Angeion, Inc., where he was instrumental in the development of the technology which led to the first ICD smaller than 90 ml in volume. In addition, he is co-author of the books 'Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator Therapy' (1996), and "Cardiac Bioelectric Therapy" (in press) among more than 150 other papers, invited presentations, book chapters and abstracts.
Patrick is a proven leader and a seasoned executive with experience in a variety of senior roles with companies involved in medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biologics. Dr. Maguire has served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of CyberHeart Inc. since 2006. He joined CyberHeart following the acquisition of the oncology assets of Targent Incorporated, where Dr. Maguire served as President, CEO, and Director since 2002. Dr. Maguire oversaw the in-licensing of three compounds and the out-licensing of another, prior to the acquisition of the company. Prior to joining Targent, Dr. Maguire was Vice President of Medical Affairs and Technology Development at VitaGen Incorporated, where he oversaw the preparation of IND's, NDA's, and IDE's and managed VitaGen's clinical trials in acute and chronic liver failure as well as medical and industry collaborations.
Jim brings more than 40 years of senior level business experience to NewCardio, including 17 years with Arthur Young & Company where he was an audit partner, and later as the Chief Financial Officer for leading technology companies including Atari, Businessland and Supermac Technology. Additionally, Jim served five years with medical device company Vidamed, Inc., initially as CFO managing all financial and administrative functions in the United States and United Kingdom, and then as President and CEO responsible for worldwide operations. He later joined Worldtalk Corporation as CFO and later was promoted to President, which, under his leadership, was successfully sold to Tumbleweed Communications. Jim served as interim President and CFO of Tumbleweed until June 2001, and continues to sit on Tumbleweed's board of directors and serves as its Audit Committee Chairman. Jim has a bachelor's degree in accounting from San Jose State University and an MBA from the Leavy School of Business at the University of Santa Clara.

From 2001 to 2007, Dr. Jones attended Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons, where he received his medical degree in May 2007. In 2005, while attending Columbia Medical School, Dr. Jones was awarded an American Heart Association-Medical Student Research Fellowship to study post-stroke inflammatory mediators in the Department of Neurosurgery. Additionally, Dr. Jones earned a BA degree from the University of Utah and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

From 2004 to 2009, Mr. Hanson was a member of the board of directors, compensation and audit committees, of Indevus Pharmaceuticals. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Hanson was a member of the board of directors, compensation and audit committees, of GlycoGenesis, an oncology-focused company. From 1998 to 2001, he was a member of the board of directors, compensation and audit committees, of MGI Pharma, Inc., which was later purchased by Eisai Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Hanson also serves on the board of directors of Z-92 Pharma and Eleos, Inc., and is also a member of Pearl Street Ventures, a venture capital firm that specializes in healthcare companies and Cardinal Equity Partners, a private equity firm. Previously, Mr. Hanson spent 25 years in positions of increasing responsibility at Eli Lilly and Company. He served as President and General Manager of Eli Lilly Japan KK from 1989 to 1992. He subsequently served as Vice President of Lilly Research Laboratories with responsibilities for the Medical Department. He culminated his Lilly career as President of the Internal Medicine Business Unit which included all cardiovascular and oncology products and became a member of the Eli Lilly and Co. Operations Committee (the senior management group of the company at that time). Mr. Hanson received a B.S. in Pharmacy from North Dakota State University and an M.S. in Hospital Pharmacy Administration from the University of Minnesota, and attended the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

He joined NewCardio from ClinPhone, the world's leading Clinical Technology Organization which was acquired by PAREXEL International Corporation, a leading global biopharmaceutical services organization. At ClinPhone, Mr. Renz served as Chief Operating Officer. Previously, he worked for eResearch Technology, Inc. as the Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer and played a key role in building eResearch Technology's clinical technology business. Mr. Renz was also instrumental in developing the global business development and client services infrastructure to support the company's rapid growth and profitability. Mr. Renz earned an M.B.A. in Management Information Systems from Indiana University and a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.
Branislav is a founder of NewCardio and provides the strategic direction for the firm as its CEO. He is a proven creator of new technologies and has commercialized them into industry leading products. A 23 year veteran of Intel where he held various senior management positions including directing the Pentium & Flash memory development teams. He led a small team that designed Intel's first flash memory product and he holds several early Flash memory design patents. Branislav received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota.
